In a word: planted. That's how you feel when you take a curve at what would have been an unsafe speed when you still had lesser tires. I can't overstate what a great tire this is for the money. For less than $200 a tire, these are a steal. They transformed my Audi A4 quattro from a nice commuter sedan to a cornering beast. Cornering is now considerably flatter and faster than it was with the stock all seasons. The additional road feel and resulting confidence they inspire have effectively given me a whole new car. I had BF Goodrich g-Force Sport COMP 2s on my Infiniti G35 and they were a fine tire, but the Pilot Super Sports are a noticeably better tire, despite being only a little more expensive.
Now to pick some nits: in a heavy downpour I hydro-planed momentarily once. I slowed down a bit and everything was fine, but they do get a little floaty if the road is very wet. They communicate so well that you know exactly how much grip you still have when it's wet, so they are still very drive-able in the wet. They are also not the quietest tire in the world, especially when they are new. They do quiet down after about 1000 miles. If you want a quiet ride, go buy a touring tire. These aren't obnoxiously loud, but they are a performance tire and road noise was justifiably way down on the list of concerns when Michelin was designing them.
I have not for one moment regretted buying these tires. They have tons of grip and communicate extremely well. They also look pretty sweet on my FK Ethos black wheels. The pattern on the sidewall almost gives them a racing slick look from the side. Best tires I have ever owned.
